Living the Sandwiched Life — With a Full Heart and a Full Calendar

Life in the middle—the sandwiched years—is both beautifully full and undeniably busy. I’m a mother, a wife, a grandmother, a daughter, a friend, and a professional, often juggling all of these roles at once. Some days feel like a whirlwind of appointments, babysitting the grandkids, real estate showings, family dinners, and late-night phone calls, but I wouldn’t trade this season for anything. It’s a time of giving, growing, and learning how to be everything to the people I love while still holding on to who I am.

We balance it all with plenty of joy. My husband and I love to travel and explore new places—especially when great food and a good glass of wine are involved. We’re foodies at heart, and whether we’re dining out in a new city or hosting a backyard party with home-cooked favorites, we believe the best memories are made around the table. On weekends, you might find us riding the Harley across open highways, soaking up the freedom of the road and the simple thrill of the journey.

At home, I find joy in the slower, hands-on rhythms—entertaining friends, planning get-togethers, cooking for family, or spending a quiet morning in the garden. Homemaking, arts & crafts, and seasonal decorating all keep me grounded and connected to my creative side. Even amidst the busy schedules and daily demands, I make time for the little things that bring peace and beauty to our lives. Because in this sandwiched season, it’s the mix of motion and meaning that makes life rich.
